It is so easy to waste time and end up with unsatisfying edits, if you don't take the time to actually THINK about where you want the edit to go. What's your goal here? What are you trying to convey? Do you want to recreate what you 'felt' at the time of shooting it, or do you have a concept that needs to be pursued further in the edit?
It's important to consider the intention and desired outcome, as you sit down to edit.
