The big game is coming up pretty fast, and you have a bunch of your friends coming over. They're expecting solid food and drinks, and you didn't have time to do much shopping, so while they're glued to the TV, here's how you can pimp out a classic football watching snack...the chicken wing.
This recipe is sure to blow away your guests and make them invite themselves back to your place even when there's no football on. Here's what you'll need.
-Takeout chicken wings (no sauce)
-Pistachios
-Sour Cream
-Blue Cheese
-Cumin Powder
-Garlic Powder
-Olive Oil
-Mayonaise
-Honey
-Chopped Herbs (parsley, cilantro, basil, chives)
-Chilli flakes
-Sesame Oil
-Salt
-Pepper
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees, and throw the pistachios into a bowl with cumin powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a pinch of sugar. Toss it all together then lay it out on a cooking sheet covered with parchement paper. Put it in the oven for 20 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, put in the sour cream, mayonnaise and blue cheese, along with the chopped herbs and honey and mix it all up with a spoon.
Mix the chilli flakes with olive oil, and just a touch of sesame oil and place in the microwave for 20 seconds. Now spread the blue cheese mix on a cutting board and place the wings on top.
Remove the pistachios from the oven and crush them into small pieces. Drizzle the chilli oil mixture on the chicken wings then sprinkle on the pistachios. Serve. Eat. Watch Game.
