Nissan’s entry in the full-size, three-row SUV market has been redone for 2017, and it offers a fairly compelling mix of ability and economy relative to the competition. Not the least of which is the entertainingly old-school V8 engine under the hood.
There are, of course, tradeoffs. For one, it’s hard to argue for the Armada’s bulbous styling and rather old-fashioned tech compared to sharper designs and faster software from the GM platform mates (Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade).
