2020 Mercedes C-Class Sedan Experience
Time flies. 2018 is over, a new year has started and the follow-up of the recently updated C-Class is inching closer to its 2020 debut. Today, the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets rendered by Auto Week.
The fact that Mercedes-Benz is currently going through a busy period is perhaps the understatement of the day. This January, the brand will be pulling the fabric off the new CLA, that will again be available as a Shooting Brake too, alongside the regular four-door coupe.
Furthermore 2019 is dominated by a new GLA, the GLB and even a completely new GLS. More news? Certainly. Bet on the arrival of a new GLE Coupé and next year is very likely to see the new C-Class.
The current C-Class debuted in 2014 in Detroit and with that the sedan is not to be called an old hand. Still, the car was presented in facelifted form this year and that means that its career is halfway. The new generation rendered on these photos, the W206, is developed on the second-gen of the MRA platform, a modular base used by Mercedes-Benz for its rear wheel drive models.
In its new form, the C-Class will grow in length and that means that the wheelbase and thus also the interior space will increase slightly. For the rest, the sedan visible on these photos is close to the latest A-Class Limousine and the E-Class in therms of styling. How close is it to the real deal? Quite close we say, comparing the renders to the latest batch of spy pics. Take a look for yourself by following the link below.
