We have a first look at the 2020 Toyota GR Supra, complete with all the details of the long-awaited coupe.

It's been a long wait for the all-new Toyota Supra ― 21 years, in fact. Its look is unmistakably Japanese, but underneath you'll find an engine, gearbox and more taken from the 2019 BMW Z4. Edmunds VP of Editorial and Editor-in-Chief Alistair Weaver takes a look at the 2020 Toyota GT Supra, which debuted today at the Detroit Auto Show.

Q: What engine and transmission does the 2020 Toyota Supra have?
A: The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine puts out 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with racing-style paddle shifters.

Q: How fast will the 2020 Toyota Supra be?
A: Toyota estimates the Supra will cover 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds when using the launch control function. Top speed will be limited to 155 mph.

Q: How much will the Toyota Supra cost and when will it be on sale?
A: The MSRP for the Supra is $49,990. The first 1,500 coming to the U.S. this summer will be Launch Edition models priced at $55,250. They'll by distinguished by matte-black wheels and red wing mirror caps, among other styling details, and individually numbered badges.
