Carne Ross served 15 years as a British diplomat and resigned after giving secret evidence to the official inquiry into the Iraq war about the intelligence on weapons of mass destruction. He since founded the world's first non-profit diplomatic advisory group, Independent Diplomat, started calling himself anarchist, and published "Independent Diplomat: Despatches from an Unaccountable Elite", his critique of contemporary diplomacy.
In this talk he gave for Talks at Google in London he talks about his work with Independent Diplomat, the documentary "Accidental Anarchist", how a modern anarchistic society could work in his view - including examples of parts of the world where this concept is already practiced - and his take on the current state of world politics.
