The new Fortuner TRD Sportivo was launched, It features a sporty-looking body kit which comprises of a front bumper spoiler, grille, and rear bumper extension. New TRD wheels with matching TRD center caps are included in the set as well. To complete the exterior makeover, there’s a big TRD Sportivo sticker on the side and a matching badge at the rear.

Apart from the exterior, the cabin of the Indonesian-spec Fortuner TRD Sportivo also gets an upgrade. It gets a nearly all-black interior apart from the headliner which is finished in gray. Front and center is a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a bit bigger compared to 8-inch units in the local models.

Interestingly, this variant also comes with a rear entertainment system. However, we’re not too sure if it is exclusive to the TRD Sportivo. Meanwhile, hill-start assist, trailer sway control, around view monitor, and blind-spot detection are just some of the features offered on the Indonesia-spec Fortuner.

The TRD Sportivo variant can be ordered with either the 2.4-liter diesel engine or the 2.7-liter gasoline engine, which has since been dropped in the Philippine lineup. Interestingly, the more powerful 2.8-liter turbo diesel mill is not offered there.
