Wisconsin’s Western Lakes Fire District looked for ways its six stations and 207 responders could further boost the effectiveness of its search and rescue drone program. The district spotted an opportunity to combine existing investments in Microsoft Teams with their drone controller to add live video streaming and offer real-time communications and collaboration to local, remote, and mobile staff.

The drones combined with the Teams platform boosted communications and raised effectiveness. Local and remote staff not only access live drone video to track responses in real time on devices of their choice but enjoy easier and more effective participation in training events.
