Humanity’s relationship with new technologies is rooted in two basic processes: preservation of our bodies as represented by healthcare, and enlightenment of our consciousness as represented by art. In this talk, Professor Marko Suvajdzic explores two symbiotic associations between emerging technologies and humanity’s efforts towards health and inspiration: Virtual Reality and its applications in healthcare; and blockchain technology and its role as a medium of Art, and an Art Market platform. For the healthcare component, Marko focuses on the Digital Rehabilitation Environment Augmenting Medical System (D.R.E.A.M.S) virtual reality system, which is aimed at reducing symptoms leading to delirium in ICUs; see a short trailer about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A2_ScKBquM
