Founded in 1867 in Atlanta, Morehouse College is a renowned historically Black college for men, and it constantly seeks to improve learning outcomes while preparing students for the modern workplace. The college put safety first during the COVID-19 crisis and decided to shift from in-person to virtual learning. However, it knew that equal access to reliable technology was critical to student success.
To address the digital divide, Morehouse provided Surface Go 2 devices to all its incoming students. With access to portable, powerful devices and Microsoft applications, students are empowered to collaborate in real time and excel in their studies. The college is supporting academic excellence, community involvement, and entrepreneurship—and continuing its tradition of educating Black scholars and leaders.
