In order to support the incoming students during the transition to the new Surface Go 2 devices, Morehouse College partnered with Microsoft to provide online trainings and to answer any questions for onboarding onto Office 365, Teams, and the devices.
Right away, Microsoft worked to advocate for features within the new technology that students would find most useful. First, the students were trained on Office 365 features and new techniques specific to Surface Go 2. Next, they were trained to connect the use of Office 365 to the school’s existing applications. Finally, they learned how to collaborate with their peers, in both the short- and long-term, so that students can begin working on assignments together, participate in interactive lessons, and build community remotely.
