Toyota has announced official pricing and specification for the Granvia in Australia, where it will launch on October 14.

Offered in four trim levels, the six-seater starts at AUD $62,990 (USD $43,085), whereas the most affordable eight-seater model will set you back at least AUD $64,990 (USD $44,453). The better specced Granvia VX with seating for either six or eight costs AUD $74,990 (USD $51,293).

“With Granvia, we are introducing a new nameplate to the people mover market and one that is set to raise the bar in that market, offering stylish premium functionality”, said Toyota Australia’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Sean Hanley. “The all-new Granvia offers superb value-for-money, with unprecedented refinement and comfort, and a list of impressive luxury features to cater to high-end family, hospitality and corporate buyers.”
Accessible via the dual sliding doors, the rear passenger compartment features four captain’s chairs, or an additional two-seat bench in the 8-seater variant. Choose the VX and the rear doors become power-operated. The higher grade also features the latest multimedia system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and boasts quilted leather-accented upholstery, 12-speaker Pioneer sound system, panoramic view monitor and digital rearview mirror. The pre-collision safety with daytime and nighttime pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, road sign assist and high-speed active cruise control are also standard.

The engine lineup has yet to be detailed, yet the Granvia builds on the HiAce, and the latter comes with one petrol and two diesel powertrains Down Under. Depending on the model, you can have it with the 2.8-liter oil burner, making 174 HP (176 PS), paired to either a manual or an automatic transmission. The same engine is also offered with 161 HP (163 PS), whereas topping up the lineup is the 3.5-liter petrol V6, with 277 HP (281 PS), paired to a stick shift or an auto ‘box.
