ZF builds an agile facility at Gray Court for Frontline workers with Microsoft 365 and Teams

Technology company ZF is modernizing to create e-mobility solutions in the auto and commercial vehicle sector. Based in Friedrichshafen, Germany, ZF has a global workforce of 160,000. To enable Industry 4.0 manufacturing processes, ZF needed to deploy digital tools to all employees. ZF standardized on Microsoft 365 modern workplace tools, including Microsoft Teams. The 2,500 employees at Gray Court, a transmissions plant in South Carolina, became early adopters of Teams, using the collaboration solution with Power BI and Microsoft HoloLens to drive agility across all aspects of plant management. Since deploying Microsoft 365, Gray Court reports an 8 percent year-over-year improvement in operational equipment efficiency, a significant reduction in end-of-line recheck rates, and accelerated issue resolution for equipment maintenance.
