2020 Hyundai Venue First Look Debut

Big news from Hyundai at the 2019 New York International Auto Show! Well, big news about a small vehicle: the 2020 Hyundai Venue, a compact SUV to round out Hyundai's SUV lineup. Edmunds special correspondent Elana Scherr got a first look during the Venue's debut.

The automaker's smallest SUV uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 121 horsepower and we expect will return over 30 mpg combined. The Venue offers a six-speed manual transmission, though we expect more buyers to go for the continuously variable automatic transmission. It also offers a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. What it doesn't have is a ton of cargo space — just 31.9 cubic feet.

2020 Hyundai Venue Price and Release Date

Look for the 2020 Venue to hit showrooms in the later part of 2019. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but we presume it will start under $18,000 and top out somewhere near $24,000.
