Both the Ariel Nomad and Morgan Plus Four CX-T were designed to tackle mud, gravel and sand dunes, but how do they fare around a race track? Not very well against the stopwatch, as it turns out, but in terms of fun factor, few cars come close to these mad British creations. Built by the company that gave us the ballistic Atom, the much lighter Nomad should be quicker on paper, but the Morgan brings a charm of its own with classic Dakar-inspired looks and knobbly off-road tyres.
