Microsoft Unboxed: Global Accessibility Awareness Day (Ep. 15)

Colleen discusses Microsoft chief accessibility officer Jenny Lay-Flurrie’s blog “Better Together,” where she emphasizes how innovation in accessibility comes from collaboration. In the blog, Jenny Lay-Flurrie also expands upon the four accessibility pillars at Microsoft: people, systems, product, and innovation; and This episode highlights how these focus areas come to life within a few key products at Microsoft, like the Seeing AI app and the Xbox Adaptive Controller. Sonia talks through an accessibility-focused partnership between Microsoft and the Department of Veterans Affairs, who are adopting Xbox Adaptive Controllers and gaming to help with therapy for veterans.
