Ray summited Mt Katahdin on Oct 2 2017, marking the finish of 2200 miles and 6 months hiking the Appalachian Trail. The hike went far beyond the adventure he expected, and put him on an unexpected path of self discovery and growth.
Using photographs and videos taken on the trail, Ray invites you to join him for miles of beautiful mountain trails, breathtaking wilderness scenes, and natural images he calls “trail art.” There are stories of encounters with extreme weather, slippery rock climbs, rattlesnakes, and bears. You hear how he used 6 months of solitude to get to know hidden aspects of himself, and how talking to animals and trees can lead to healing and growth. If you have an adventurous side and love to explore your “inner” and “outer” world, come and experience this Appalachian Trail discussion.
Dr Mount is a Clinical and School Psychologist specializing in group therapy. He is a certified Internal Family Systems therapist and has a part time private practice in Woburn.
